About Us
Hi! I’m Tye, and in 2018 I decided to found a dog walking service alongside my wife, Sarah.
Years ago, when I was a busy realtor, I decided to get a dog. I knew this would double my responsibilities, but the best memories of my childhood were the memories of the family dog, and I finally had the stability to know that I could afford and care for one. Enter Sookie, my life-changing Staffordshire Terrier.
I picked her up from her foster mom in a Sushi Restaurant on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, and walked her the five miles home. I was planning on taking a cab, but we were both loving the adventure so much, the city just flew by. I will never forget that day, and the way we bonded on that walk would come to dictate our entire future.
I already did a lot of walking for work, and now that I had Sookie, it never stopped. In the mornings I would walk to the park, where we would play off-leash with our local doggie community. Then I would walk the streets all day, photographing and showing apartments. In the evening I felt like Sookie deserved a second big walk, so we’d go out again. I was exhausted, and I loved it. But whenever I hired a walker through a crowd-sourced walking app, I felt like she just wasn’t getting the attention she got when she was with me.
I spent less and less time marketing apartments, and more and more time in the park. My real estate photography took a sideline and I was always photographing dogs. We began to make doggie friends, and I would pet sit them at every opportunity. I quickly learned that, after talking to the owners about their dogs’ favorite activities, the dogs would really open up and show their personalities. I was getting some amazing pictures, and bonding with the animals on a deeply personal level. At the end of the day, we were so mutually happy, I couldn’t bring myself to care much at all about real estate, and eventually I quit my job.fake rolex watches for women for sale
I had recently met Sarah, the woman who would become the love of my life, and we decided we didn’t want to spend our youths in just one city. We bounced around the country, seeking our fortunes. Eventually we landed in Vallejo, and quickly took to the culture. The art culture, the historical culture, and especially the dog culture.
One day Sookie and I were walking in River Park when it struck me with more force than the Vallejo Ferry. I could do take my love of dog walking full-time. I could use my personal obsession with learning and loving every dog individually, and make it a brand!patek philippe watch replica dior replica shoes
So I did just that. I found like-minded people for whom walking was a meditation on companionship. Our walkers find the happiness sweet spot for each individual dog, and reinforce the boundaries and freedoms that keep that space comfortable and positive. Every dog is different, and our services are customized over a period of discovery to keep your best friend safe and smiling. It’s everything I wanted for my own dog, and I believe we can give your dog the best part of his or her day as well.
